Role Description The Business Manager will oversee branch-level business operations in Kannauj, ensuring achievement of sales, portfolio quality, and profitability targets in line with company policies. This full-time, on-site role includes managing and growing the customer base, driving disbursements in products such as vehicle finance and monitoring collection efficiency. The person in this role will lead and mentor a local team, allocate targets, review performance, and ensure adherence to credit, risk, and compliance guidelines. Key responsibilities also include building relationships with local partners and dealers, identifying new market opportunities, and executing initiatives to strengthen brand presence. The Business Manager will collaborate closely with regional leadership, prepare regular business reports, and ensure high standards of customer service and process discipline.
Qualifications
- Strong business development and sales management skills, with experience in vehicle finance.
- Proficiency in portfolio management, collections oversight, and basic credit assessment to maintain portfolio quality and control risk.
- Team leadership and people management abilities, including target setting, performance monitoring, coaching, and motivation of branch staff.
- Operational and process management capabilities, with attention to documentation, compliance, regulatory norms, and audit requirements.
- Effective communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills for engaging customers, dealers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data and reports to drive decisions and improve branch performance.
- Graduate degree in business, finance, commerce, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification (MBA or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Prior experience in an NBFC or banking environment, familiarity with North and West India markets, and local language proficiency will be beneficial.
