Job Description
Business Systems Analyst II supporting AWM PMO delivery by partnering with Product Owners and Scrum teams to define and refine requirements, translate business processes into user stories and acceptance criteria, and lead UAT and implementation planning for financial/brokerage solutions.
- Core work: requirements elicitation and analysis planning; create/groom user stories; facilitate liaison across developers, QA, UX, and solution architecture; support scope and analysis estimates.
- Testing/Delivery: develop UAT plans, scenarios, cases/scripts, and test data; execute tests; track defects; support implementation planning and post-implementation follow-up; communicate status/risks.
- Methodologies: experience across Agile/Scrum and Waterfall/iterative lifecycles; able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate/negotiation with stakeholders.
- Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) plus 2–5 years relevant experience; strong analytical/problem-solving and written/verbal communication skills; understanding of technology as applied to business.
- Tools: Visio, Excel, Office, PowerPoint, JIRA, and BlueWorks Live; exposure to wireframes and to legacy mainframe/CICS applications is beneficial.
- Preferred: financial/brokerage domain experience (retail/commercial banking, asset management, investment banking, payments/transfers), business process reengineering, and flexibility for night shifts.
Required
Ø Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and minimum 2-5 years relevant work experience.
Ø Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills.
Ø Experience collaborating with Scrum team, especially with Product owner.
Ø Scrum team liaison between developers/testers/UX/Solution Architect.
Ø Experience in creating, refining, and grooming User stories.
Ø Experienced in using/incorporating Wireframes.
Ø Experience in understanding/leveraging historical Mainframe/CICS based applications and user interface.
Ø Experience with project methodology and project life cycles.
Ø In depth knowledge of business operations and processes with the ability to articulate these processes to others.
Ø Experience with analysis planning, requirements elicitation, carrying out UAT, executing test scripts, implementation planning, and implementation execution.
Ø Understand and apply technology as it relates to the business
Ø Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple work assignments while being able to shift priorities to meet the current business environment needs.
Ø Effective written communication skills to deliver articulate communications and concisely summarize information.
Ø Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Ø Working knowledge and experience with the financial industry
Ø Contribute to the definition of project scope boundaries.
Ø Contribute to project plan, detailing analysis tasks in the plan and providing estimates and updates to those tasks to the project manager on a regular basis.
Ø Actively participate in systems requirements and design walkthroughs to ensure understanding and traceability to business needs and requirements.
Ø Develop the user acceptance test plan and test conditions/scenarios.
Ø Develop the user acceptance test cases and scripts.
Ø Develop/Mine test data for user acceptance testing.
Ø Execute test plans and test cases on a scheduled and ad hoc basis.
Ø Contribute to implementation planning and post-implementation tracking.
Ø Provide effective communication on project status, risks, and defects with project owners and stakeholders. This will include the ability to concisely and accurately develop sustained relationships with internal business and technology partners as well as (potentially) external vendors.
ü Successfully manage relationships throughout the lifecycle of the project.
Ø Identify business needs or opportunities for improvement through either broad industry knowledge, or detailed knowledge of specific products, services or processes.
Ø Perform occasional ad hoc tasks as needed.
