About the role
Primarily responsible for tracking and safeguarding the tools and equipment and consumables assigned to a project by confirming the initial inventory, tracking all assignments and returns, performing periodic field inventories, and inspection of equipment.
- Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment
- Reconcile initial Trailer inventory when received at project
- Track all Trailer items
- Issues supplies, tools and equipment to workers and maintain records of items issued and returned
- Receives, unpacks and stores incoming supplies, tools and equipment. Verifies actual quantities of items listed on packing slip
- Places restocking orders to maintain minimum inventory levels
- Keeps Tool Room secure and storage cabinets locked
- Maintains Tool Room in a clean and orderly manner
- Inspects tools and equipment for defects and wear, reports damage to manager
- Identifies and reports on slow moving supplies and tools and, with approval, arranges for removal of obsolete supplies and tools
- Pack & ship items as needed
- Mark and identify tools and equipment for easy tracking and retrieval
- Field Inventory counts
- Field Equipment checks
- Maintenance needs
- Regular hour meter checks
- Maintains a friendly, efficient, positive customer service demeanor towards customers, clients, and coworkers
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Complies with all policies and standards
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 6+ years’ experience
- Must be able to assess through Burns and McDonnell assessment program
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, or reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, crawl, push and pull
- Ability to use repetitive hand motions and the ability to grasp and operate field tools and equipment
- Ability to climb on, in or through equipment in confined spaces and elevated work using fall protection harnesses
- Ability to work long hours with infrequent days off, night shifts, and in adverse climates
- Ability to use respirators or Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus
- Ability to utilize vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Ability to lift, carry and or move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in an environment with loud noises and vibrations for extended periods of time
- Ability to properly wear and/or use Personal Protection Equipment
