Summary
The Driver Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, attracting, and hiring qualified CDL drivers to support the company's operational and growth objectives. This role plays a critical part in building a strong driver workforce by executing effective recruiting strategies, delivering a high-quality candidate experience, and ensuring timely hiring outcomes in a competitive market. The ideal candidate brings strong communication skills, a sense of urgency, and the ability to engage and convert top driver talent.
Key Responsibilities
- Source, screen, and qualify CDL driver candidates through outbound outreach, job boards, and referrals
- Conduct phone interviews and guide candidates through the selection and hiring process
- Deliver a positive candidate experience through clear communication, timely follow-up, and professionalism
- Partner with operations and hiring managers to understand hiring needs and align candidate profiles
- Escalate candidate concerns or process issues as needed to ensure timely resolution
- Maintain accurate and confidential candidate records in the applicant tracking system
- Apply sound judgment, problem-solving, and discretion when handling candidate interactions
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance recruiting efficiency and candidate satisfaction
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 2--3 years of recruiting, sales, or high-volume customer-facing experience preferred
- Experience in the transportation or trucking industry is a plus
- Proven ability to meet hiring goals in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to build rapport quickly and influence candidates
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
