Summary:
The RN Test Observer is responsible for providing test dates to administer the state exams for the Oregon Board of Nursing for CTI student population. The position will also provide didactic and clinical instruction to nursing assistant and medical assistant students as needed.

Responsibilities of the: RN test Observer
- Secure testing dates from the Oregon Board of Nursing a minimum of 30 days prior to exam dates
- Create and utilize an attendance record for the state exam for CTI’s tracking and trending
- Administer state exams to students as scheduled per OSBN
- Ensure state test room is in working order, well- stocked and prepared for testing
- Keep Program Director informed of any new state regulations that may impact students/school
- Teach a cohort of students in didactic or clinical as needed and if available
- Other special projects, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements of the: RN Test Observer
- Bachelor’s degree, required
- 4+ years field related experience in Nursing, minimum 1 year of teaching NA or MA students or related field required. Certificate in teaching adult students preferred. Long Term Care experience required
- Strong presentation, creative, professional and organizational skills.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a collaborative environment.
- Ability to participate in extensive paid training prior to the start of classes.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
- Ability to work in a virtual environment using software technology including but not limited to virtual meeting tools, such as Zoom, Instant Messaging, Canvas Learning Management System (LMS, Microsoft Office and Teams).
- The ability to efficiently operate a computer and its peripheral equipment (keyboard, mouse, etc.).
- Flexible ability to work as testing dates and times are set up monthly
- Hours may vary, days, evenings, weekends, and class hours are from 7:30am-9:00pm Monday through Sunday.
