Role Description The Broadband Sales Executive will be responsible for identifying and acquiring new customers for broadband and related services in Chennai. This full-time, on-site role includes generating leads through field visits, calls, and local networking, as well as responding to inbound inquiries. The person in this role will explain broadband plans and features, conduct needs assessments, recommend suitable packages, and provide clear pricing and contract details. Daily tasks include preparing and submitting sales proposals, completing customer application forms, coordinating with installation and support teams, and tracking the status of new connections. The Broadband Sales Executive will also maintain an updated sales pipeline, meet or exceed monthly sales targets, collect customer feedback, and share market insights with the management team to support continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Strong sales and negotiation skills, with the ability to identify prospects, present solutions persuasively, and close deals.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with diverse customers in person and over the phone.
- Basic understanding of broadband, internet, and networking concepts, or willingness to learn quickly.
- Ability to work independently in the field, manage time effectively, and meet daily and monthly targets.
- Comfort using smartphones, basic office software, and CRM or tracking tools for recording leads and sales activity.
- Previous experience in broadband, telecom, or field sales is preferred but not mandatory.
- Minimum educational qualification: Higher Secondary (12th grade) or a graduate degree in any discipline is an advantage.
- Fluency in local language(s) and good working knowledge of English; familiarity with Chennai market is a plus.
