<strong>Responsibilities<br></strong><br>
</div><ul>
<li>Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media etc.) to teach children.</li>
<li>Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem.</li>
<li>Encourage children to interact appropriately with each other.</li>
<li>Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum.</li>
<li>Operate to schedule and supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times.</li>
<li>Collaborate with other educators.</li>
<li>Maintain a clean and compliant classroom consistent with health and safety standards.</li>
<li>Utilize and or have NC Foundations experience working with Infants, Toddlers, and/or children in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each child.</li>

<strong>Skills<br></strong><br>
</div><ul>
<li>Proven experience as a Lead Teacher</li>
<li>Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms</li>
<li>Excellent communication and instructional skills</li>
<li>Ability to facilitate play.</li>
<li>Calm Demeanor, child and staff friendly, and very reliable</li>
<li>SIDS Certification</li>
<li>Certification in child CPR & First Aid</li>
<li>An AAS degree in education or relevant field with 12 EDU hours</li>
</ul><div>Job Type: Full-time Candidate must be flexible and willing to open and or closing of the center as needed.<br><br>
</div><div>Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour, depending on experience and educational background; paid monthly.<br><br>
</div><div>Schedule: 8 Hour Shift Monday - Friday<br><br>

<li>Do you have a current DCDEE Criminal Clearance Letter to work with children? Education:</li>
<li>An AAS or BS degree in education or relevant field with 12 EDU hours (Required)</li>

<li>CPR Certification (Preferred)</li>
<li>Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)</li>
