Commercial Landscape Business Development Manager

Position Overview
The Commercial Landscape Business Development Manager is responsible for driving new revenue growth by securing commercial maintenance contracts across target markets.
This role combines strategic business development, relationship management, operational oversight, and continuous improvement of landscape maintenance programs. The ideal candidate is a results-driven sales professional who thrives on prospecting, networking, and winning new accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development
- Identify, pursue, and close new commercial landscape maintenance opportunities
- Build and manage a consistent sales pipeline through cold calls, email outreach, networking, and referrals
- Target property managers, HOAs, commercial real estate firms, municipalities, and corporate campuses
- Actively pursue and respond to RFPs, bid opportunities, and procurement requests
- Develop strategic relationships within the commercial real estate and property management community
- Attend industry events, networking groups, and local organizations to generate new business opportunities
- Track and report pipeline activity, conversion rates, and revenue performance against goals
- Collaborate with leadership on pricing strategy, market positioning, and growth initiatives
Commercial Maintenance Account Management
- Responsible for overseeing the maintenance of commercial maintenance accounts and execution of enhancements.
- Coordinate operations managers, productions managers, and crew leaders to ensure efficient scheduling of labor, equipment, and materials.
- Lead monthly check-in meetings with property managers to review performance, address concerns, provide updates, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with clients through responsive communication, professionalism, and proactive problem-solving.
- Identify opportunities to recommend enhancements, turf improvements, seasonal color, irrigation upgrades, replacements of plant materials, and capital improvement projects.
- Prepare and deliver proposals for landscape enhancements or corrective work to increase property value and client satisfaction.
- Oversee turf care programs, including chemical applications, fertilization, pest control, and weed management, ensuring compliance with best practices and regulations.
- Review and analyze crew time management data to improve labor efficiency, routing, and productivity.
- Assist in training teams on service standards, horticultural practices, and company protocols.
- Support safety initiatives and ensure that field operations meet compliance, quality, and performance standards.
Job Requirements:
- 3–5+ years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or commercial services sales
- Proven track record of generating new business and meeting or exceeding revenue goals
- Strong prospecting skills, including cold outreach and in-person networking
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and driven to succeed
- Experience in landscape, property services, or related industries is a plus (not required)
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook and basic CRM tools
- Valid Texas driver’s license
- Commercial Landscape Sales and Operations Experience Required
- Strong Horticultural Background Required
