Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Bridge Design Engineer. The Bridge Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and analyzing bridge structures, preparing detailed design drawings and calculations, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and client specifications. Daily tasks include coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, reviewing site data and survey reports, supporting feasibility and detailed project reports, and contributing to condition assessment and rehabilitation proposals for existing bridges. The role involves using advanced CAD and structural analysis software, preparing technical documentation and reports, and providing design support during project execution. The engineer will also participate in design reviews, quality assurance processes, and continuous improvement of design methodologies.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong structural engineering skills, including bridge analysis, design of steel and concrete structures, and familiarity with relevant design codes and standards.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in CAD and bridge design software tools, such as AutoCAD, CADD-based platforms, and structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD, MIDAS, or equivalent).
- Candidates should possess skills in interpreting survey data, conducting feasibility assessments, and contributing to detailed project reports for highways and bridges.
- Candidates should possess capabilities in technical documentation, report writing, and preparation of drawings and design calculations with attention to detail and quality.
- Candidates should possess strong communication, teamwork, and remote collaboration skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary project teams.
- Relevant qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering, with prior experience in bridge design or highway structures preferred.
- Additional beneficial qualifications include experience in project management consultancy, knowledge of MoRTH/NHAI guidelines, and familiarity with condition survey and rehabilitation of existing bridges.
