Job Title: Braze Developer / Braze Platform Expert
Location: Chennai / Bangalore / Hyderabad / Pune / Mumbai
Key Responsibilities
Architect, build, and maintain Braze Canvas flows, Campaigns, and Journeys across email, push, SMS, in-app messaging, and webhooks.
Own the data model within Braze — custom attributes, events, and user profile unification — ensuring data integrity across ingestion sources.
Integrate Braze with upstream CDP and data infrastructure (Segment, mParticle, Snowflake, or equivalent) via SDKs, REST APIs, and Currents/webhooks.
Build and maintain Liquid templating for dynamic, personalized content across channels.
Design and implement audience segmentation logic, including behavioral, RFM, and predictive segments (Braze Intelligent Selection / Predictive Suite where applicable).
Configure and troubleshoot event tracking, custom events, and attribute mapping in partnership with engineering and analytics teams.
Lead MarTech stack optimization initiatives — auditing existing Braze configuration, reducing technical debt, and improving campaign delivery performance (deliverability, latency, error rates).
Partner with engineering to manage Braze SDK implementation (iOS, Android, Web) and troubleshoot integration issues.
Support A/B testing and multivariate testing frameworks within Braze to optimize campaign performance.
Build and maintain dashboards and reporting (Braze Intelligence Hub, Currents-to-warehouse pipelines) for campaign performance, funnel, and attribution analysis.
Ensure data privacy and compliance (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CCPA) across all campaign configurations and data handling.
Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, analytics, and engineering to translate business requirements into scalable Braze solutions.
Document platform architecture, campaign logic, and integration workflows for internal knowledge continuity.
Required Qualifications
3+ years of hands-on Braze platform experience (Canvas, Campaigns, Connected Content, Liquid, Currents) — core, non-negotiable requirement.
Strong working knowledge of CDP concepts and platforms (Braze itself as CDP, or integration with Segment, mParticle, Adobe Real-Time CDP, Tealium).
Proficiency in Liquid templating language for dynamic content personalization.
Experience with REST APIs and webhooks for platform integrations.
Working knowledge of SQL for data validation, segmentation logic, and reporting.
Experience with event-based tracking and taxonomy design (custom events, custom attributes).
Familiarity with mobile/web SDK implementation (iOS, Android, JavaScript) as it relates to Braze data collection.
Understanding of multi-channel campaign mechanics: email, push notifications, SMS, in-app messaging.
Experience with A/B testing methodologies and campaign performance optimization (CTR, conversion, deliverability metrics).
Knowledge of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, CAN-SPAM) as applied to marketing platforms.
