We are looking to bring on a Brand & Strategic Partnerships Lead to work closely with the founders at The Fungamentalists LLP. This role will focus on building creative brand collaborations and strategic partnerships that expand how people experience functional mushrooms. If you enjoy building relationships, launching interesting collaborations, and working directly with founders, this could be a great fit.
Key Responsibilities:
Brand Partnerships & Opportunity Development
- Identify and develop strategic collaborations with bars, cafés, chefs, chocolatiers, wellness brands, and cultural tastemakers.
- Conceptualise and launch partnership pilots (e.g., signature drinks, co-created products, limited editions).
- Own partner relationships end-to-end, from first conversation to execution and review.
Strategic Sales & Partner Engagement
- Lead early-stage B2B sales and partnership conversations.
- Collect structured feedback from buyers and collaborators on product, pricing, and positioning.
- Translate market feedback into insights for founders and internal teams.
Founders’ Office Support
- Support founders on special projects, strategic initiatives, and launches.
- Prepare partnership briefs, opportunity notes, and collaboration proposals.
- Maintain visibility on partnership pipelines and ensure consistent follow-through.
What Success Looks Like
• Multiple high-quality brand collaborations launched or in active pilot within the first 6–9 months.
• The Fungamentalists appearing in credible, non-obvious contexts beyond direct-to-consumer
channels.
• Strong inbound interest from partners due to visible momentum and clear positioning.
Ideal Profile
• 3–6 years of experience in partnerships, business development, brand roles, startups, F&B,
hospitality, or creative agencies.
• Confident communicator comfortable engaging founders, buyers, chefs, and brand leads.
• Strong commercial and brand judgment—can separate novelty from strategic value.
• Organised, proactive, and comfortable owning outcomes.
• Existing network in food, beverage, wellness, or lifestyle ecosystems is a plus.
This role is for builders, not coordinators.
