About Us
Tooused powers circularity for India's leading brands, retailers, textile producers, and households. Tooused's vision is to divert 1 billion textiles from landfill by 2030, recycling them for a second life instead—and we’re on track to do it with India's first full-stack textile recycling platform. This platform is setting the course for the future of the industry, connecting textile waste to responsible end-of-life options, meaningfully addressing the textile waste crisis, and redefining the sustainability narrative for the next generation – to one that is win-win-win for brands, consumers, and our planet.
About the role
We are building TakeBack for Brands. It gives a brand everything it needs to run its own take-back programme without building any of it, including reverse logistics across the country, chain of custody on every garment, and the reporting brands will need as India's textile EPR rules take shape.
We already have early interest from brands like NewMe, No Nasties, Mahina and Debaans. What we do not have yet is one person who owns this line end to end. That is this role.
You will be the first commercial hire on TakeBack. You will find the brands, run the pitch, close the deal, and then stay on to get the programme live with our ops and tech teams. This is not a role where you hand off after signature. At our stage, the person who sells it is the person who makes it work.
What you will do
- Build and run the brand pipeline, from cold outreach and events to inbound and referrals
- Own the full sales cycle, including discovery, pitch, commercials, negotiation and close
- Design each brand's take-back programme with them, covering collection format, customer incentive, logistics flow and reporting
- Work with our ops and tech teams to launch signed brands and keep them running
- Be the brand's main point of contact after go-live, and own renewal and expansion
- Build the pitch materials as you go, including decks, pricing models, and case studies
- Track what is and is not working in the funnel and tell us plainly
- Keep on top of EPR and textile regulation in India, and translate it into a reason for brands to act now
What we are looking for
- 2 to 5 years in B2B sales, partnerships, key accounts or category management
- A track record of closing deals yourself, not supporting someone else who closes them
- Comfort selling something that is still being built, where the answer is sometimes "we will figure that out with you"
- Clear writing and a pitch that holds up in a room with a brand's sustainability lead and their supply chain head at the same time
- Willingness to do the unglamorous parts, including chasing a delayed pickup or fixing a report before a brand notices
- Background in fashion, retail, D2C, sustainability, or logistics is useful but not required
What we are not looking for
- Someone who only wants to work warm inbound
- Someone who needs a fully built product, a fixed price list, and a finished deck on day one
- Someone who treats sustainability as a talking point rather than an operating problem
Why this is worth your time
Textile EPR is coming to India. When it lands, every mid and large apparel brand in the country will need a take-back partner, and very few will want to build the infrastructure themselves. We already have the grid running. This role is the person who turns that into a business before the rules force everyone to catch up.
You will report directly to the founder, and you will own the line rather than a slice of it. If it works, you build the team under it.
Compensation
Fixed salary plus performance-linked incentive on signed and launched brands. ESOPs on the table for the right person. We will talk numbers openly in the first call.
How to apply
Send your CV to hello@tooused.com with a short note on one brand you think should be running a take-back programme in India and how you would get to them. We read those notes.
