WHAT YOU’LL OWN
- The Brand. You’ll decide what we launch, who it’s for, when it goes live, and where we put our money. The plan evolves as fast as the market does.
- The Consumer. Go beyond demographics. Understand what people buy, what makes them switch, what keeps them coming back — and what makes them choose us over the brand they’ve trusted for years.
- The Portfolio. Own the SKU story — pack sizes, pricing, assortment, launches and what gets discontinued. Work with product and supply chain to make the portfolio commercially stronger.
- Go-to-Market. Decide where we enter, which cities and channels come first, and what needs to work before we scale.
- Every Channel That Matters. Quick commerce, marketplaces, modern trade, general trade and D2C. From listings and ratings to share of search and merchandising — you’ll know what is moving the needle.
- The Money. Own the marketing budget. Know where every rupee goes, what comes back, what doesn’t — and have the conviction to double down or cut it.
- The Numbers. Track awareness, trial, repeat, velocity, ROAS and share of search. Know the story behind the dashboard, not just the dashboard itself.
- The Creative Brief. Turn messy business problems into clear creative direction. Give the team a sharp problem, a real constraint and something worth saying — then let great creatives do their thing.
- Experiences That Get People to Try. Build activations, partnerships, sampling and regional campaigns. In food, tasting often beats telling — and you’ll build that into the strategy.
- Making Things Happen. You’ll work across founders, sales, growth, product and supply chain. If a launch is stuck because packaging is sitting at a printer, you’ll know — and you’ll fix it.
MUST-HAVES
- 3+ years in Brand/Marketing with genuine ownership of a brand, category, campaign or launch.
- Strong commercial thinking. You can build a plan, defend the numbers and spot when something stops making business sense.
- Sharp budget judgment. You know when to invest, when to experiment and when to kill something.
- Creative thinking. You can write a brief that gives a creative team something exciting to solve.
STRONGLY PREFERRED
- Food/FMCG experience. You understand packaging, pricing, sampling, distribution and the realities of building a food brand.
- 0→1 launch experience. You’ve taken something from an idea to an actual product on the shelf — and know what can go wrong along the way.
- Quick commerce & marketplace expertise. Listings, assortment, ads, ratings, merchandising and share of search.
- Both sides of the table. Experience in a large FMCG organisation and a startup — rigour from one, speed from the other.
- Hands-on Southern market experience. Regional distributors, trade, media, creators and consumer behaviour.
- Agency, vendor or team management. You know how to get people moving without needing a giant team around you.
