Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kolkata for a Brand Guide Studio WordPress PHP Developer. The role involves developing, customizing, and maintaining WordPress websites and themes, with a strong emphasis on brand consistency and user experience. The developer will implement branding guidelines across layouts, templates, and components, ensuring visual and functional alignment with client requirements. Day-to-day tasks include writing clean, efficient PHP code, integrating plugins and APIs, optimizing performance, and troubleshooting technical issues. The position also requires collaborating with designers, content teams, and stakeholders to refine requirements, test new features, and deliver secure, responsive, and accessible websites on schedule.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in WordPress development, including custom themes, child themes, and plugin integration.
- Strong PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills for building and modifying front-end and back-end website features.
- Experience translating brand guidelines into consistent site structure, layouts, and reusable components.
- Knowledge of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and basic SEO best practices.
- Familiarity with MySQL databases, version control tools (such as Git), and debugging workflows.
- Ability to optimize site performance, security, and scalability in a production environment.
- Comfort collaborating with designers, content creators, and non-technical stakeholders in a team setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Prior experience in an agency or product environment and a portfolio of WordPress projects are highly advantageous.
