About the Role
Wishbox Studio is a small, fast-moving creative agency. We work across social media, branding, web design, packaging, and publications — sometimes all in the same week. If you're looking for a role where every day looks the same, this isn't it.
We're looking for a Designer who is genuinely versatile — someone who can move between a social media grid, a brand identity system, a website layout, and a packaging brief without losing their creative footing. You don't need to be a master of everything yet, but you need to be curious, adaptable, and unafraid of figuring things out.
At Wishbox Studio, designers don't just execute — they contribute and create impact. You'll be expected to bring ideas to the table, push back when something doesn't feel right, and care deeply about the quality of what goes out the door. You'll work closely with the brand strategist, creative director, and the founder — and sometimes you'll be the only designer on a project, which means owning it fully.
What You'll Do
• Design across formats — social media creatives, brand identities, website layouts, packaging,
presentations, and publications — adapting your approach to each medium.
• Work on multiple projects and clients simultaneously, managing your own time and priorities without constant supervision.
• Collaborate closely with social media strategists, writers, and video editors — contributing to briefs, content calendars, and creative directions, not just receiving them.
• Use AI tools actively in your design process — for ideation, image generation, layout exploration, and workflow efficiency. We expect you to be genuinely fluent here, not just familiar.
• Build and maintain design systems, templates, and brand guidelines that make the team's output faster and more consistent.
• Design for web and digital interfaces using Figma and Framer — from wireframes to polished,
production-ready layouts.
• Bring a sharp eye to every deliverable — typography, hierarchy, colour, spacing. The details matter here.
• Take briefs, interpret them thoughtfully, ask the right questions, and deliver work that goes beyond the obvious.
• Accept feedback gracefully, iterate quickly, and know when to defend a creative decision and when to let it go.
• Stay curious — about design trends, new tools, what's working in the industry, and what the brands
you're working on actually need.
What We're Looking For
• 1–3 years of design experience, ideally with exposure to more than one design category — social media, branding, web, or print.
• Proficiency in Adobe Suite — Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign at minimum.
• Strong working knowledge of Figma.
• Strong working knowledge of Framer.
• Genuine fluency with AI design tools — image generation, prompt-based design, workflow automation. You use these regularly, not occasionally.
• A solid foundation in design fundamentals — typography, grid systems, colour theory, visual hierarchy. These are non-negotiable regardless of experience level.
• The ability to work independently and take ownership of a project from brief to final delivery.
• Comfort working in a small team environment where roles overlap and flexibility is essential.
• Strong communication skills — you can explain your design decisions clearly and take direction well.
• An eye for brand consistency — you understand that every touchpoint is part of a larger system, not a standalone piece.
• A portfolio that shows range — we want to see that you can think across categories, not just execute one type of work well.
Nice to Have
• Experience with motion design or basic animation — After Effects, Rive, or similar.
• Exposure to packaging or print design with an understanding of production requirements.
• Photography or art direction sensibility — you can contribute to shoot briefs and visual direction, not just post-production.
• Experience working at a creative or digital agency, even in an internship capacity.
• Familiarity with no-code web tools beyond Framer — Webflow, Squarespace, or similar.
Shortlisted candidates will be sent a design assignment as the second stage of the hiring process. Please apply only if you're willing to take it on.
