About the Role
We are looking for a highly execution-focused and strategic professional for the role of Manager – BTL, Trade Marketing & Brand Activations for a leading consumer durables brand. This is a Headquarter-based leadership role responsible for driving end-to-end trade marketing, retail marketing, BTL campaigns, and brand activation initiatives across regions.
The role will lead planning, execution, visibility enhancement, new product launches, in-shop branding, merchandising standards, and market activation programs to strengthen brand presence and drive sales growth.
All Trade Marketing Managers across regions will report into this role.
The ideal candidate should possess strong execution capability, planning expertise, analytical skills, team management experience, and excellent command over data analysis and Excel reporting.
Reporting Structure
- All Regional/Trade Marketing Managers will report to this role.
- Close coordination with Sales, Brand Marketing, Product, Regional Sales, and Modern Trade teams.
Key Responsibilities
Trade Marketing & Retail Marketing
- Lead overall Trade Marketing and Retail Marketing initiatives for the organization.
- Develop and execute market visibility and retail branding strategies.
- Drive channel marketing programs to improve retail productivity and consumer engagement.
- Ensure strong retail presence across GT, MT, LFR, and dealer/distributor networks.
- Plan and implement retailer engagement and dealer loyalty programs.
New Product Launch Management
- Lead end-to-end execution of new product launches across markets.
- Develop launch visibility plans including:
- Product display zones
- Dealer launch events
- Market activation campaigns
- POSM deployment
- Experience zones
- Coordinate with sales and product teams to ensure successful market rollout.
- Track launch effectiveness and market visibility metrics.
BTL Marketing & Brand Activations
Plan and execute high-impact BTL campaigns including:
- Mall Activations
- Society Activations
- Retail Counter Activities
- Roadshows
- Product Demonstrations
- Consumer Contact Programs
- Apartment Activations
- Corporate Activations
- Dealer Meets
- Sampling Activities
- Exhibition & Trade Fair Participation
- Festival Activations
- RWA Activations
Ensure flawless execution and ROI tracking of all activation programs.
In-Shop Branding & Merchandising
- Drive in-shop branding initiatives across retail channels.
- Ensure implementation of merchandising guidelines and visual standards.
- Manage:
- Glow signs
- Shop boards
- Dangler
- Experience counters
- Monitor visibility quality and branding compliance across markets.
- Improve consumer experience through effective visual merchandising.
OOH & Visibility Management
Plan and execute Outdoor Advertising (OOH) campaigns including:
- Hoardings
- Billboards
- Metro Branding
- Bus Shelter Branding
- Pole Kiosks
- Transit Media
- Airport Branding
Ensure strategic placement, market visibility, and ROI optimization.
Execution & Operations
- Ensure timely and high-quality execution of all marketing activities.
- Conduct market visits and execution audits across regions.
- Develop SOPs and execution benchmarks for regional teams.
- Coordinate with agencies, fabricators, and vendors for smooth implementation.
- Drive cost optimization while maintaining execution quality.
Team Management
- Lead and mentor Trade Marketing Managers across regions.
- Conduct regular reviews on execution, visibility, and campaign performance.
- Align regional activation plans with business priorities.
- Drive accountability and execution excellence across teams.
Budgeting, Data & Analytics
- Manage annual activation and trade marketing budgets.
- Track ROI, sales impact, footfalls, lead generation, and conversion metrics.
- Prepare MIS dashboards and analytical reports using Excel.
- Analyze campaign effectiveness and recommend improvements.
- Present business insights and market performance reviews to leadership.
Desired Candidate Profile
- MBA from Tier 1 or Tier 2 institute preferred.
- 7–12 years of experience in Trade Marketing, BTL Marketing, Retail Marketing, and Brand Activations.
- Strong exposure to consumer durables, electronics, appliances, telecom, FMCG, or retail sectors.
- Proven experience in handling large-scale activation and visibility programs.
