The Brand Acquisition & Marketplace Growth Manager will play a critical role in building and scaling the supply side of the marketplace during the company’s early growth stage.
This is a hybrid role combining:
- Brand acquisition
- Seller onboarding
- Marketplace operations
- Growth management
- Marketplace optimization
The role requires a highly entrepreneurial individual capable of handling both strategic partnerships and operational marketplace growth initiatives.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with high ownership and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Acquisition & Partnerships
- Identify and onboard brands/sellers to the marketplace
- Build partnerships and acquisition pipelines through outreach and networking
- Negotiate commercials, onboarding terms, and collaborations
- Drive category expansion and strategic seller partnerships
Marketplace Growth & Operations
- Manage seller onboarding, catalog quality, and marketplace visibility
- Coordinate campaigns, launches, and operational workflows
- Monitor GMV, conversion rates, and seller performance
- Improve onboarding efficiency and marketplace growth
Seller Success & Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary contact for seller partners
- Build long-term relationships and resolve operational issues
- Support sellers in improving sales and platform usage
- Gather feedback to enhance seller experience and retention
Data-Driven Marketplace Optimization
- Use analytics and AI insights to identify growth opportunities
- Track category trends, customer demand, and seller performance
- Support marketplace optimization and data-driven onboarding decisions
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with marketing, product, and operations teams on campaigns and seller experience
- Support execution of marketplace growth initiatives and operational alignment
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, Management, or a related field
- 2–6 years of experience in business development, marketplace operations, brand partnerships, e-commerce growth, seller acquisition, or category management
- Strong understanding of marketplace and D2C business models
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced startup environments with high ownership
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills
- Familiarity with marketplace analytics tools, CRM platforms, seller onboarding systems, and performance dashboards
- Experience with D2C brands, e-commerce marketplaces, consumer startups, or AI-enabled platforms is preferred
- Existing network within the consumer brand ecosystem is an added advantage
