Role Description The Branch Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Hoshangabad. The Branch Manager will oversee end-to-end branch operations, including business development, loan sourcing, customer relationship management, and portfolio quality. This role involves leading and mentoring branch staff, setting sales targets, monitoring performance, and ensuring adherence to credit policies, regulatory norms, and internal guidelines. The Branch Manager will review loan proposals, manage risk, drive process compliance, and ensure timely documentation and disbursements. The position also requires close engagement with local communities, partners, and stakeholders to build a strong presence for Vastu, while maintaining high standards of customer service and ethical conduct.
Qualifications
- Proven skills in branch operations management, including workflow oversight, documentation control, and process compliance.
- Strong experience in sales and business development, with the ability to drive customer acquisition and achieve branch-level targets.
- Competence in credit and risk assessment, portfolio monitoring, and ensuring asset quality in retail or housing finance.
- Team leadership capabilities, including staff supervision, performance management, coaching, and conflict resolution.
- Customer service and relationship management skills, with a focus on serving underserved or self-employed segments.
- Comfort with technology platforms and MIS tools for data tracking, reporting, and decision-making.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, commerce, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification in management or finance is an advantage.
- Prior experience in housing finance, NBFCs, banking, or related financial services, preferably in semi-urban or rural markets.
- Strong communication skills in English and local languages, and the ability to work ethically and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
