Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Branch Manager role based in Pune. The Branch Manager will oversee day-to-day branch operations, including managing lending and supply chain finance activities, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements, and maintaining high standards of customer service. The role involves leading and coaching branch team members, setting performance goals, monitoring key metrics, and driving business development initiatives within the local market. The Branch Manager will build and maintain strong relationships with corporates, distributors, retailers, and financial partners to grow the branch portfolio and enhance customer satisfaction. The position also includes reviewing credit proposals, monitoring risk, streamlining processes using technology tools, and providing regular reports and insights to senior leadership.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership, team management, and people development skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse branch team.
- Solid background in banking, lending, or financial services, ideally with exposure to supply chain finance, working capital products, or SME/corporate lending.
- Proficiency in relationship management, stakeholder engagement, and customer service, with a focus on building long-term client partnerships.
- Comfort with using technology platforms, data and analytics tools, and digital workflows to streamline branch operations and decision-making.
- Sound understanding of risk management, credit assessment, and regulatory and compliance requirements in the banking or NBFC environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain financial solutions clearly to a range of business customers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; a postgraduate degree or relevant professional certification is an advantage.
- Proven experience in a branch leadership or similar managerial role, preferably in banking, fintech lending, or B2B financial services.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a results-oriented approach and capacity to work under time and performance targets.
- Familiarity with the Pune market and local business ecosystem is preferred.
