Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Branch Manager role based in Jalandhar. The Branch Manager will oversee all branch operations, including daily forex transactions, customer service, cash management, and adherence to RBI and internal compliance guidelines. The role involves leading and mentoring branch staff, setting performance goals, and monitoring sales targets for forex products, travel cards, remittances, and related services. The Branch Manager will build and maintain strong relationships with retail and corporate customers, address escalations promptly, and ensure a high standard of service delivery. The role also includes preparing periodic reports, coordinating with head office on audits and process improvements, and driving local marketing initiatives to grow the branch’s business.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in branch management, retail banking, forex, or financial services operations.
- Strong leadership, team management, and people development skills.
- Sound understanding of RBI regulations, KYC/AML guidelines, and compliance in financial transactions.
- Excellent customer service, relationship management, and conflict resolution abilities.
- Good numerical aptitude, attention to detail, and comfort with cash handling and reconciliations.
- Proficiency with MS Office and branch/transaction management systems.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English; knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; relevant certifications in forex or financial services are a plus.
- Ability to work on-site full time in Jalandhar, handle pressure, and meet sales and operational targets ethically.
