Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Branch Manager role based in Cuttack. The Branch Manager will oversee day-to-day branch operations, ensuring smooth sales processes, customer servicing, and adherence to company policies and regulatory guidelines. Responsibilities include leading and coaching the branch team, setting and monitoring sales targets, managing budgets, and driving business growth across retail and group health insurance products. The role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, corporate partners, agents, and distributors, as well as resolving escalations and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. The Branch Manager will also be accountable for local market development, performance reporting, compliance, and implementation of company initiatives at the branch level.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience in motivating, coaching, and developing diverse teams.
- Proficiency in sales planning, target setting, and business development, preferably in insurance, banking, or financial services.
- Solid customer service, relationship management, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Good understanding of operational processes, regulatory compliance, and risk management in a branch or regional setup.
- Effective communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, including comfort with performance metrics, reporting, and basic financial analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field; a postgraduate degree or relevant certifications (e.g., insurance licensing) is an advantage.
- Prior experience in health insurance or general insurance distribution is preferred, along with familiarity with the local Cuttack market.
- Ability to work on-site full time, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results within deadlines.
