Role Description The Branch Credit Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Bangalore Rural, responsible for managing credit operations at the branch level. This role involves assessing home loan applications, analyzing creditworthiness, and ensuring adherence to internal credit policies and regulatory guidelines. The Branch Credit Manager will review financial documents, conduct risk evaluations, approve or recommend loan decisions within delegated authority, and monitor portfolio quality. The role also includes coordinating with sales and operations teams, conducting field visits when required, supporting underwriting processes, and providing guidance on credit-related matters. The Branch Credit Manager will maintain accurate credit records, prepare periodic reports, and contribute to continuous improvement of branch credit processes.
Qualifications
- Strong credit management capabilities, including experience in Credit Management and Credit Risk Management.
- Solid understanding of Finance and Credit, preferably within housing finance or retail lending.
- Demonstrated Analytical Skills for evaluating financial statements, cash flows, and risk profiles.
- Relevant academic background such as a degree in Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience in branch-level underwriting or credit assessment, ideally in semi-urban or rural markets.
- Ability to interpret regulatory and policy guidelines and apply them in day-to-day credit decisions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal teams and customers.
- Proficiency in basic office software and credit management systems; attention to detail and integrity in documentation.
