Solana Smart Contract Developer - Remote, South America

Job Description

About the Role: 2-3 weeks for this demo, and if we like your work, we’ll extend you full-time to productionalize this.

We are seeking an experienced Solana Smart Contract Developer to help build a proof-of-concept (POC) for Palus Finance, a decentralized fixed-rate staking marketplace. This contract role focuses on implementing smart contracts for Offer creation, Agreement minting, escrow management, and scheduled payments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop Solana programs (smart contracts) using Rust and Anchor for:
• Offer creation and management
• Agreement minting and NFT representation
• Escrow handling and scheduled coupon payments
• Implement staking logic for Investor deposits with Institution-chosen validators.
• Design and optimize an off-chain cranking mechanism, if this is the right design choice, to automate coupon payments.
• Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate on-chain functionality.
• Ensure security, gas efficiency, and proper token accounting.
  
  

Requirements

• 3+ years of blockchain development experience, with at least 1+ year of Solana development.
• Strong proficiency in Rust, Anchor framework, and Solana program development.
• Experience with token staking, escrow mechanisms, and scheduled payments (if possible) on-chain.
• Familiarity with off-chain automation strategies (cranking), if this is the best route.
• Prior experience building DeFi or staking-related protocols is a plus.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Building backend functionality off-chain for this application.

• Experience with frontend integration (e.g., connecting Solana programs with React/Dapp frameworks).
• Familiarity with NFT-based contract representations.
• Background in financial markets, staking derivatives, or structured products.
