Summary/About the opportunity: Data analysts are the people responsible for effectively evaluating data to develop reports and visualizations that identify key trends, insights, and analytics. They are comfortable working with structured data, performing analytics, building appropriate visualizations, and drawing conclusions based on empirical evidence. Their understanding of statistical concepts must be strong, and they should develop increasing mastery of internal datasets as well as knowledge learned internally and externally to guide their analysis. Data analysts focus on “What is the data telling me today or in the past?” Importantly, they are good communicators who can translate their findings into language that’s accessible to a wide variety of internal and external audiences. This role will lead and conduct internal data analysis of Dayforce’s new WorkWell initiative. It’s a research series that leverages millions of internal data points alongside expertise from leading third parties to deliver meaningful insights and trends in four aspects of human capital: pay, leave, retirement, and scheduling. As employers look for an ideal balance between workers’ needs and business objectives, this research will help them become employers of choice and best support their employees as individuals, spouses, parents and caretakers. It will also inform national conversations about these key human capital topics, and spur increased action by businesses to incorporate national and industry best practices. Primary Responsibilities/ What you’ll get to do : Develop reports and visualizations from structured data using Power BIPrepare datasets by writing scripts in SQL or Python (or equivalent)Write up insights for publications in blogs and whitepapers Qualifications/Skills and experience we value: Knowledge of human resources processes and proceduresKnowledge of key human capital management (HCM) topicsSQLData managementData Privacy with working knowledge of protecting personal informationPower BI including knowledge of DAX and power queryLearning mindsetAbility to interpret statistics Nice to have: Background in I-O PsychologyBackground in EconomicsExperience in Databricks (SQL, Python, R)Background knowledge of relevant historical trends in the U.S. and Canadian workforce
