As we continue to pursue new goals, it's an exciting time to join the Bragg team. We are currently hiring an Engineering Intern for our Long Beach, CA branch.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engineering Design Support: Assist in the design, development, and analysis of lifting systems and equipment for diverse industrial applications.
- Technical Collaboration: Work closely with engineering teams to develop innovative, safe, and effective solutions to complex lifting challenges.
- Documentation & Reporting: Support the preparation of engineering reports, technical documentation, and project records.
- Rigging & Lift Plan Interpretation: Learn to read and interpret rigging plans, lift charts, and technical drawings to support project execution.
- Project Planning & Coordination: Assist with project planning activities, scheduling, and coordination to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
- Safety Compliance: Attend safety meetings and strictly adhere to all safety standards, policies, and guidelines.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (e.g., Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field).
- Technical Skills: Basic computer proficiency, including MS Office; introductory experience with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks.
- Soft Skills: Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Learning Agility: Willingness to learn, adapt, and take on new challenges.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Drafting Experience: Hands-on coursework or practical experience using AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks for drafting or design work.
Work Environment
- Physical Conditions: Will frequently be required to stand; walk; and sitting at a desk. Must be able to lift 15 pounds.
