Summary: The role of a BPS Architect is to lead the design and implementation of architecture solutions using IBM ELM while ensuring effective integration with various tools and stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Main Responsibilities:
- Engage in technical and business discussions to understand requirements.
- Support migration efforts from JIRA to GitLab.
- Define and document scalable architectures using the IBM ELM suite (including DOORS Next, Engineering Workflow Management, Engineering Test Management, Global Configuration Management).
- Lead technical design sessions, proposing end-to-end solutions for systems engineering.
- Provide documentation and reporting support.
- Manage clients and provide necessary support to the team.
- Develop and maintain solution roadmaps aligned with enterprise ALM transformation goals.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify future requirements and translate them into architectural plans.
- Consolidate changes and ensure timely delivery of solutions.
Key Requirements:
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in Data modeling on IBM ELM.
- Proficiency with IBM ELM PureVariants, SmartFacts, DOORS, and Windchill Modeller.
- Experience in designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
- In-depth knowledge of Open Services for Lifecycle Collaboration (OSLC).
- Expertise in integrating third-party tools using OSLC, REST APIs, and RTC SDK.
Nice to Have:
- Proficiency in Python for scripting and application development.
- Familiarity with Git-based Version Control Systems (VCS).
