About the role

This will support the delivery of an enhanced customer experience and drive innovation by building global capabilities, scale, leveraging technology, and developing deep expertise. The BTC will be a core and connected part of our business, bringing together colleagues who report into their respective part of C&P, working together with other functions across bp. Let me tell you about the role We are looking for someone to support implementation of the Supply Chain Sustainability agenda for Castrol. The purpose of this role is to provide programme management to the GSC Sustainability team for projects and compliance supporting our Scope 1&2 operational emissions targets of 50% reduction in by 2025, Castrol's PATH 360 aim of halving the net Carbon intensity per litre of our products by 2030, and supporting our bp ambition to net zero. What you will deliver Sustainability Scope 1&2 (operational) and Scope 3 (logistics and distribution) emissions reduction targets Scope 1&2 50% reduction in tCO2 by 2025 Scope 3 (L&D) 30% reduction in tCO2 by 2030 Carbon accounting and management for all PU energy data Ownership of GSC Sustainability Insights dashboard Supervise & report post implementation data, providing variance analysis & commentary that demonstrates improvement delivery. Liaise with wider Castrol and bp sustainability teams to ensure alignment and work with the wider bp to ensure consistency in methodology and sharing of standard processes Lead and support complex multi-PU projects as needed Leads, prepares, and completes internal and external audits related to sustainability. What you will need to be successful Strong analytical and system and interpersonal skills. Exposure and familiarity with planning processes and systems. Strong communication and presentation skills both verbal and written. Consistent track record to deliver analysis and, insight. Comfortable in a cross-functional distributed team. Self-starter and ability to work with ambiguity. Understanding of operations (planning, manufacturing, customer fulfilment). Strong attention to detail. Project Management awareness and basics. Experience communicating complex, technical information to various audiences to drive project milestones to completion! Skills & Proficiencies Tools and Systems – Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Databases - Skilful; Data, Analytical Skills – Skilful; Core Supply Chain proficiencies (Logistics, HSSE, Supply Planning, Manufacturing), Project Management – Awareness Good commercial savvy – ability to translate and represent in graphical format the data into practical performance insights & improvement opportunities Project management and organisational change, including good communication and partner management Ability to drive standardisation and simplification Education: Graduate in science or engineering, or equivalent technical degree with emphasis on environmental, Supply chain, logistics and distribution networks or sustainability management. Experience and knowledge of GHG accounting and reporting principles, mechanisms, methodologies and schemes, e.g. GHG Protocol, ISO 14064, SBTi, EEIO etc. will be preferred. You will work with You will work amongst a sub team focused on delivering our sustainability roadmaps as part of the Product Portfolio Delivery team within Castrol Supply Chain. You will collaborate closely with multiple stakeholders in manufacturing and planning disciplines within the PU teams and align activity with manufacturing excellence and engineering in our global centre of excellence in delivering and ensuring accurate reporting towards our progress for our sustainable aims. Where necessary you may engage with stakeholders in other functions from strategy, finance, marketing and sales to align methodology and reporting outcomes
