The Culinary Intern will support daily food production in a high-volume industrial kitchen serving nutritious, age-appropriate meals for children and youth (ages 5-18). This internship provides hands-on experience in large-scale cooking, food safety compliance, and professional kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily food preparation and batch cooking
- Follow standardized recipes and portion-control guidelines
- Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards
- Assist with receiving, labeling, and storing food products
- Operate basic industrial kitchen equipment under supervision
- Support cleaning, sanitation, and closing procedures
- Work collaboratively within a team environment
- Follow all child nutrition and allergen protocols
Required Qualifications
- Age 16-24 (culinary student or recent graduate preferred)?Basic culinary knowledge or formal training (school or college)
- Strong interest in food service or culinary career
- Ability to follow instructions and SOPs
- Good personal hygiene and professional attitude
- Physically able to stand for extended periods

- Food safety certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Prior kitchen or food service experience
