Company Overview
Boyd Watterson Asset Management, LLC is an independent investment advisor specializing in real estate, fixed income, infrastructure and equity products. We provide investment solutions to a broad range of institutional clients and to high-net-worth clients, mainly through intermediaries.
Our investment strategies focus on stable income with a moderate risk profile. The real estate products are mainly delivered through private funds that primarily own and operate commercial buildings under lease to agencies of the US government, and state and local governments. Our fixed income and equity products are delivered through separately managed accounts, mutual funds, and intermediaries.
This position can be available in our Cleveland, New York or Washington DC office locations.
Requirements
Our Infrastructure Analyst will support our team with the evaluation, execution, and management of infrastructure and project finance investments across sectors such as transportation, energy and power, utilities, social infrastructure, digital infrastructure (including data centers and fiber). The role requires strong capabilities in project finance and long-term cash flow modeling, and an ability to translate complex contractual, financial, and economic considerations into clear investment recommendations for internal stakeholders and investors.
Key Responsibilities:
Investment Analysis & Execution
• Apply advanced project finance expertise to develop, review, and maintain detailed financial models for greenfield and brownfield infrastructure investments.
• Support the execution of infrastructure and project finance transactions, including valuation, structuring, and coordination of due diligence across tax, and financial workstreams.
• Prepare investment committee materials, including investment memoranda, sensitivity analyses, and scenario modeling to support investment recommendations, decisions and timing.
Project Finance & Contractual Analysis
• Analyze key project documents (including concession agreements, offtake agreements, O&M agreements, EPC contracts, and financing documents) to develop appropriate assumptions in financial modeling and valuation analysis.
• Evaluate financing structures, including non-recourse and limited-recourse debt, refinancing opportunities, and capital structure optimization.
• Support engagement with lenders, tax advisors, auditors and legal counsel throughout transaction execution and financing processes.
Research & Market Insight
• Conduct infrastructure sector, regulatory, and macroeconomic research to support investment activities and strategy.
• Analyze market, demand, and cost inputs to forecast long-term project performance under different economic and policy scenarios.
• Identify and communicate material trends in infrastructure investment, project finance markets, interest rates, and regulatory frameworks relevant to the sector/portfolio/asset.
Transaction & Documentation Support
• Coordinate with internal teams and external advisors in the preparation and review of transaction, financing, and investment documentation.
• Support execution of refinancings, amendments, and asset-level transactions over the life of the investment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics or related area.
- 2 years' minimum experience; preferably with infrastructure investing, project finance or related fields
- Financial modeling skills
- Understanding of project finance contracts and structures
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
