About the Department
Provides archival collection processing support for Music Library and Bill Schurch Sound Archives staff and patrons.

Position Duties
- Arranges and describes archival materials in accordance with professional standards provided by supervisor or written in documentation materials.
- Uses library and archival platforms as instructed by supervisor.
- Follows standard library and archives metadata schemas as instructed by supervisor.
- Creates metadata and inventories of archival collections as instructed by supervisor.
- Handles rare archival materials.
- Scans images and photocopies materials for patrons and staff.
- Performs preservation and conservation treatments as applicable under supervision.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- May train others in operation of digital imaging equipment and software.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires concentration and strong attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills required and a desire to learn new skills on the job.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds (with reasonable accommodations)
