Seeking one motivated engineering graduate student to support a research project on Multiphysics modeling and insulation design optimization of glass melting furnaces. The project focusses on improving thermal efficiency and reducing energy loss using computational analysis and data-driven design approaches.

Position Duties
- Develop and run simulations using computational modeling tools
- Conduct parametric studies by modifying input conditions (e.g., furnace wall thickness, material configurations)
- Perform data analysis, visualization, and interpretation of results
- Evaluate and optimize insulation design configurations
- Assist in preparing technical reports, figures, and documentation
- Contribute to research discussions and potential publications
- Support general research activities as needed
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate student in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or a related engineering field
- Strong understanding of heat transfer, thermodynamics, or Multiphysics modeling
- Experience or familiarity with simulation tools (e.g., COMSOL, ANSYS) is a plus
- Familiarity with MATLAB or Python for data analysis
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and contribute to research development
