Assist Conference & Event Services staff with all steps of planning, preparation and execution of summer events/conferences.

Position Duties
- Serve as on-site representative of Conference & Event Services, assisting with client needs before and during summer conferences and events working to ensure client expectations (regarding food/beverage, setup, a/v equipment, staffing, etc.) are met and proactively responding to needs and requests that may arise.
- Perform general office functions such as creating and updating spreadsheets, responding to calls/emails, coordinating details between clients and campus partners, and preparing materials for conference and events (signage, name badges, conference packets, etc.)
- May possibly assist in the reservation process of event spaces managed by Conference & Event Services.
- Will also assist with office coverage, front desk assistance, accounting and registration services, event support services, and other guest relations as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience with providing exceptional customer service in a professional environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to details and proven ability to problem solve. Extremely dependable and flexible.
- Robust work ethic: ability to take personal initiative and work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Experience with Windows Office Suite.
- Must be available to work day shifts, evenings and weekends (particularly during the months of June and July).
- Hours might vary between 10-28 hours/week (with occasional opportunities to work more than 28 hours/week when needed).
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. and stand for long periods of time.
- Must be available to start training in the later weeks of Spring semester in advance of summer responsibilities.
- This summer position, at this pay rate, expires the day before the first day of Fall classes each August.
