Job Title: Boutique Business Manager

Job Summary:
The Pearls Section Lead oversees the operations and management of a premium pearls section. This role requires an experienced leader with deep knowledge of pearls and luxury retail, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to manage and motivate a sales team. The lead will ensure that the team meets sales targets, delivers a high-end customer experience, and upholds the brand’s reputation for quality and luxury.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations:
- Oversee all daily operations of the pearls section, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Maintain high standards of showroom presentation and merchandising, in line with company guidelines.
- Manage the pearls and related products inventory, ensuring optimal stock levels and accurate record-keeping.
Sales and Customer Service:
- Drive sales to meet or exceed targets by providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the team does the same.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with high-end clientele, providing personalized service and expert advice.
- Handle VIP clients and ensure their needs are met in a discreet, professional manner.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Team Management:
- Lead, train, and mentor a team of sales associates to enhance product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service skills.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching to ensure continuous improvement.
- Foster a positive, motivated work environment that encourages teamwork and excellence.
Marketing and Promotions:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to organize promotional events and initiatives aimed at increasing foot traffic and sales.
- Develop and execute in-store marketing strategies to highlight new collections, special offers, or exclusive pearl products.
- Ensure that the showroom maintains a strong presence in the local luxury retail market.
Inventory and Stock Control:
- Oversee the tracking and management of pearls and accessories, ensuring stock is well-organized and replenished as needed.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and prevent discrepancies.
- Coordinate with the supply chain team to manage orders and deliveries of new stock.
Financial and Administrative Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily sales reconciliation and ensure that financial records are maintained accurately.
- Prepare and analyze sales reports, identifying trends, challenges, and areas for improvement.
- Manage the showroom’s budget, including expenses, staffing costs, and any promotional expenditures.
Quality Control and Product Knowledge:
- Ensure that all pearls and products meet the company’s stringent quality standards.
- Maintain a deep understanding of pearl varieties, grading, and market trends to provide expert advice to clients.
- Train staff on the characteristics and value of pearls, ensuring that customers receive accurate and informative guidance.
Health & Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure that the showroom adheres to all health, safety, and security protocols.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with all company policies and local regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in luxury retail management, with at least 3 years in a team lead role.
- Experience in the pearls or jewellery sector is a significant advantage.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field preferred.
- Certifications in luxury retail management, sales, or customer service will be an added advantage.
Skills:
- Proven leadership and team management abilities.
- Strong knowledge of pearls, including their types, quality grading, and market trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on high-end customer service.
- Proficiency in retail management software and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Ability to analyze sales data and adjust strategies to meet targets.
