Position Summary
The Environmental Services Technician provides cleaning services throughout the facility in accordance with established safety and sanitation guidelines. This role plays an important part in supporting quality patient care by ensuring hospital areas remain clean, organized, and sanitary.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize patient rooms, offices, hallways, restrooms, and common areas
- Maintain cleanliness of floors, furniture, and facility equipment
- Safely handle cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Remove trash and transport linens as needed
- Follow infection prevention and safety procedures
- Respond promptly to cleaning requests and facility needs
- Work collaboratively with hospital staff to maintain a safe environment
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping or environmental services experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to follow directions and safety guidelines
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this position, employees are frequently required to:
- Stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach
- Use hands and fingers to handle equipment and supplies
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
