Position Summary
Boulder City Hospital is seeking a dependable and motivated Full-Time Dietary Aide to join our Dietary Services team. This position plays an important role in supporting patient care by assisting with food preparation, tray service, meal delivery, and maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment.
The ideal candidate is team-oriented, organized, and committed to providing excellent service to patients, residents, staff, and visitors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and assembly of meals for patients, residents, and employees
- Prepare and deliver patient meal trays accurately and in a timely manner
- Perform trayline duties and ensure food quality and portion control standards are met
- Deliver food carts to designated hospital areas
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen work areas, equipment, dishes, and utensils
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures
- Assist with stocking supplies and maintaining inventory as needed
- Work cooperatively with dietary staff and other hospital departments
- Provide courteous and professional customer service
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous food service or healthcare dietary experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices preferred
- Food Handler Card
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to:
- Stand, walk, and sit for extended periods
- Use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects and equipment
- Reach with hands and arms
- Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Talk, hear, taste, and smell
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
