Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Quantity Surveyor / Estimation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQs), estimating project costs, analyzing vendor quotations, and supporting procurement for interior fit-out projects. The role requires strong technical knowledge of interior works, excellent estimation skills, and proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) from drawings, specifications, and site measurements.
Perform quantity take-offs for civil, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, false ceiling, flooring, painting, and other interior fit-out works.
Prepare detailed cost estimates, project budgets, and rate analyses.
Compare and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations to ensure cost-effective procurement.
Plan and estimate material requirements for projects.
Assist the procurement team in vendor selection, material planning, and purchase coordination.
Review drawings and specifications to identify quantity and cost variations.
Monitor project costs and provide cost control support throughout project execution.
Coordinate with design, project management, and site teams to ensure estimation accuracy.
Maintain updated cost databases, BOQ templates, and pricing records.
Required Skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (formulas, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis).
Expertise in BOQ Preparation and Quantity Surveying.
Strong understanding of Interior Fit-Out works and construction methods.
Knowledge of Cost Estimation, Budgeting, Rate Analysis, and Project Costing.
Ability to interpret architectural and MEP drawings.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Attention to detail and ability to meet project deadlines.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
2–5 years of experience in quantity surveying or estimation for interior fit-out projects.
Experience in commercial, residential, office, or retail interior projects is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with ERP or estimation software.
Knowledge of market rates, construction materials, and vendor management.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
