About The Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-focused Bookkeeper to join our growing team at Xeinadin. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our clients' financial records. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day bookkeeping activities for multiple clients, maintaining compliance with relevant regulations, and supporting the overall financial health of our client base. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a professional with a solid background in UK and Irish bookkeeping, particularly within an accountancy practice setting, to contribute meaningfully to our team’s success. The role requires a proactive approach, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a combination of educational qualifications and practical experience, including:
- CA Inter or BCom qualification, demonstrating a solid foundation in accounting principles
- At least 2 years of bookkeeping experience within the UK or Irish market, preferably in an accountancy practice environment
- Proficiency in Xero accounting software, along with familiarity with other accounting tools and software
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks aimed at maintaining accurate financial records and supporting client needs. Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining and updating day-to-day bookkeeping records for multiple clients, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted point of contact for financial inquiries
- Implementing, supporting, and troubleshooting accounting software solutions, including Xero, to streamline financial processes
- Preparing accurate financial statements such as income statements and expenditure reports
- Reconciling balance sheets, profit & loss accounts, and bank statements to ensure consistency and correctness
- Processing invoices, payments, receipts, and income entries with high accuracy and adherence to deadlines
- Assisting in the preparation of management accounts and financial reports for internal and client review
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns in compliance with relevant tax regulations and deadlines
- Managing accounts payable and receivable, including credit control activities to optimize cash flow
- Providing support for ad hoc financial and administrative tasks as required by clients and management
