About The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Full-Charge Bookkeeper to join our remote team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for managing our day-to-day financial operations, including bookkeeping, job costing, accounts receivable and payable, payroll, and sales tax compliance. Reporting directly to the Head of Project Management, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper, with hands-on expertise in QuickBooks accounting software.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes.
- Experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and sales tax filings.
- Exceptional organizational skills with an extreme attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with job costing, purchase order management, and financial SOP development is preferred.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and a genuine interest in supporting the company's mission.
Responsibilities
The core responsibilities of this role include:
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records in QuickBooks, ensuring all transactions are correctly categorized and reconciled monthly.
- Verifying and processing vendor invoices, scheduling payments in accordance with vendor terms, and maintaining good vendor relationships.
- Monitoring customer payments, verifying invoices and deposits, reconciling deposits to invoices by job, and resolving any overdue balances or discrepancies promptly.
- Allocating labor and materials costs accurately to each project, maintaining detailed job-level cost records, and calculating gross margins per project.
- Creating and entering purchase orders into the inventory management system, ensuring proper tracking and accountability.
- Administering weekly payroll, collecting and validating timesheets, and verifying payroll accuracy prior to submission.
- Tracking taxable and non-taxable revenue, reconciling sales tax collected to accounting records, and ensuring timely filing and remittance of sales tax payments.
- Assisting in the development and formalization of financial policies and standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and compliance across all financial processes.
Benefits
Golden Home Access offers a competitive salary range of $15,000 to $20,000 USD per month, with opportunities for performance-based bonuses and raises. The position is remote, providing flexibility in work location and schedule, with working hours from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM PST, including a one-hour break (subject to change).
