About The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team as an independent contractor. This full-time remote position is ideal for someone with a minimum of one year of bookkeeping or accounting experience, particularly in construction, manufacturing, or project-based environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing reconciliations, and assisting in the preparation of financial reports to support our operational and strategic objectives.
The role requires a proactive individual who can manage multiple tasks efficiently while ensuring compliance with internal accounting processes. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather financial data, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues promptly. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be critical in maintaining the integrity of our financial information and supporting the company's growth and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (mandatory)
- Minimum of one year of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably within construction, manufacturing, or project-based sectors
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and accounting practices
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online or similar accounting software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and basic data analysis
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment
Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping activities, including data entry, invoice processing, and record maintenance
- Perform regular bank and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy
- Maintain and update financial records systematically and accurately
- Assist in preparing financial statements, reports, and summaries for management review
- Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and verify financial data
- Identify discrepancies or errors in financial records and resolve issues efficiently
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes as needed
