About The Role
We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team as an independent contractor. This remote position is ideal for someone with at least one year of bookkeeping or accounting experience who is looking to contribute to a fast-paced organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing reconciliations, and assisting in the preparation of financial reports. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. As a key member of our finance department, you will ensure that our financial data is precise, up-to-date, and compliant with internal standards and procedures. This position offers flexibility and the opportunity to work remotely while supporting the financial health of our organization.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance. A minimum of one year of relevant bookkeeping or accounting experience is mandatory. Candidates should demonstrate a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, with hands-on experience using QuickBooks Online or similar accounting software. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and basic data analysis, is essential. The role requires high attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and effective communication abilities, especially for remote work environments. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in construction, manufacturing, or project-based accounting, particularly familiarity with invoicing, accounts payable, and receivable processes.
Responsibilities
