About The Role
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our finance team as a full-time independent contractor. This remote position is ideal for someone with at least one year of bookkeeping or accounting experience, who is proficient in managing financial records and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our organization by managing day-to-day bookkeeping activities, performing reconciliations, and supporting the preparation of financial statements.
The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment. The Bookkeeper will collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate financial data collection and compliance with internal processes. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or finance. Prior experience of at least one year in bookkeeping or accounting is mandatory. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and basic data analysis, is required. The candidate should demonstrate high attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and excellent communication abilities, especially in a remote work setting.
Preferred qualifications include experience in construction, manufacturing, or project-based accounting, as well as familiarity with invoicing, accounts payable, and receivable processes. Candidates with these additional skills will have an advantage in excelling within this role.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of the Bookkeeper include managing daily bookkeeping activities such as data entry and record maintenance to ensure all financial transactions are accurately documented.
