About The Role
Our client, Exdia, is an Australian-based bookkeeping, payroll, and financial support firm that primarily serves small businesses, churches, and not-for-profit organizations. They are currently seeking an experienced bookkeeper or accountant to join their remote team for a stable, long-term position within a structured and accountable environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with a process-driven organization that values clarity, reliability, and building long-term relationships. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing advanced bookkeeping and payroll tasks across a diverse range of Australian clients, supporting the firm’s mission to provide accurate and timely financial services.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in bookkeeping or accounting, with proven experience working with Australian financial regulations and systems. Essential qualifications include a relevant bookkeeping or accounting certification, such as a CPA, CA, or equivalent, along with demonstrated proficiency in accounting software like Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks. Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently within a remote setting are crucial. Candidates should also have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Prior experience with payroll processing, superannuation compliance, and reconciliations will be highly regarded.
Responsibilities
The role encompasses a variety of advanced bookkeeping and payroll duties, including but not limited to:
- Managing accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely processing and accuracy.
- Performing reconciliations and system checks to maintain data integrity.
- Preparing journals, financial reports, and conducting file clean-ups to support ongoing financial management.
