Role Description
The Body Shop Manager will oversee the daily operations of the body shop, ensuring efficient workflow, customer satisfaction, and efficient management of repairs. Responsibilities include managing and coordinating workshop activities, maintaining high-quality customer service, and ensuring adherence to company standards and safety regulations. The role involves staff supervision, budgeting, and maintaining relationships with clients and suppliers. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Meerut.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in managing Body Shops and Workshops with a comprehensive understanding of repair processes and operational workflows
- Strong focus on Customer Satisfaction and the ability to develop and execute strategies to enhance aftersales services
- Excellent Communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Experience in aftersales management and knowledge of automotive industry standards
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Proficiency in basic administrative and budgeting tasks
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Automotive Management, or related field is an advantage
- Knowledge of Toyota vehicles or experience in a Toyota dealership is a plus
- Experience with dealership or authorized service centers
- Knowledge of modern repair tools and paint systems
- Certification in automotive body repair (optional but preferred)
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operations Management
- Oversee day-to-day body shop operations, including denting, painting, and collision repairs
- Ensure efficient job allocation and workflow management
- Monitor repair timelines and ensure on-time delivery of vehicles
2. Team Leadership
- Supervise, train, and motivate body shop technicians and support staff
- Conduct performance evaluations and skill development programs
- Maintain discipline and productivity within the team
3. Quality Control
- Ensure all repairs meet company and manufacturer quality standards
- Conduct final inspection before vehicle delivery
- Minimize rework and warranty claims
4. Customer Satisfaction
- Interact with customers to explain repair processes and timelines
- Resolve customer complaints effectively
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and retention
5. Insurance & Estimation
- Coordinate with insurance companies for claims processing
- Approve repair estimates and ensure cost control
- Maintain proper documentation for all jobs
6. Financial Management
- Monitor revenue, expenses, and profitability of the body shop
- Control material usage (paint, consumables, spare parts)
- Prepare reports on performance and KPIs
7. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and environmental regulations
- Maintain proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials
- Ensure workshop cleanliness and organization

Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
- Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Automobile Engineering or related field
Experience:
- 5–10 years in automotive body shop operations
- At least 2–3 years in a supervisory/managerial role
Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management
- Knowledge of denting, painting, and repair techniques
- Familiarity with insurance claim processes
- Excellent communication and customer handling skills
- Basic financial and reporting skills
