Description

The Human Resources Manager has both individual and supervisory responsibilities. The position’s primary role is to assist the General Manager with all aspects of personnel functions. This will require individual accountability as well as supervisory responsibility for personnel functions performed by the administrative team. The Human Resources Manager will also participate in the fulfillment of a variety of monthly duties including, but not limited to, submission of regulatory and compliance reports, completion of benefits documents and employee file maintenance, recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, benefits administration, training and development, and all employee engagement activities.


The position will participate in senior leadership as a department head. The Human Resources Manager must also possess a strong aptitude for Information Technology in order to assist with the oversight of the hardware, software and communications equipment required for efficient business operations.

Requirements

Human Resources and Benefits:

  • Lead human resource responsibilities with the General Manager and the Leadership Team
  • Lead oversight of payroll systems with respect to onboarding and people management
  • Ensure compliance with government mandated employee reports to include; I9, W2’s, 1099’s, 1095’s, OSHA and MOSHA reports
  • Lead employee benefits administration, tracking anniversary and eligibility dates
  • Manage employee files for compliance with government regulations
  • Lead with employee onboarding and separation process
  • Develop and implement the annual position specific training curriculum
  • Lead and manage the annual and semi-annual performance evaluation process
  • Plan, Lead, and execute all Employee engagement activities

Supervisory Functions:

  • Maintain a positive, professional, and productive work environment
  • Assure company-wide adherence to internal processes and controls
  • Lead and coordinate daily people management within each department
  • Lead the professional development and annual review process


Job Qualifications:


Education -

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or business administration, preferred


Experience:

  • 5+ years in Human Resources with a strong Generalist background
  • 5+ years of business experience with supervisory responsibility
  • Proven coaching and teaching skills while in a supervisory role


Aptitude for Technology:

  • Software: strong knowledge of standard HCM software, Microsoft Office Suite

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods

  • The ability to lift or move a box of office paper to a height of 3-4 feet
