About the role

Admin and Design Executive, Bob Books Ltd

Bob Books, UK’s much-loved photo book company, has an opening for an Admin and Design Executive to join its friendly Head Office team in Notting Hill, London.

This is a great opportunity for a motivated, passionate and creative individual to get involved in many aspects of an organisation, learn new skills and play a contributing role in the company’s success.

We are specifically looking for someone who is good at (and happy to do!) admin and able to help with customer queries as well as having solid design skills, able to create digital assets for the business.

The ideal candidate could be a recent college/university leaver who has strong written and verbal skills, is happy to muck in, problem-solve and juggle administrative tasks whilst maximising the opportunity to develop their design skills. You will be a self-starter who can take ownership of tasks efficiently with a high degree of attention to detail. You will also be confident with key graphic design programmes such as Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Canva.

Your days can get busy, but it is an informal and friendly office atmosphere, working in a small team, and is a great opportunity to gain a real breadth of experience; from handling customer enquiries to gaining knowledge of a creative, online industry and the sophisticated software needed to make photo products, and from designing online assets through to reporting on sales and marketing activity.

Responsibilities include:

ADMIN AND CUSTOMER SERVICE

·       Provide a single point of contact for all Head Office email and telephone enquiries to ensure that, overseen by the Operations Manager, all customer queries are dealt with efficiently and effectively.

·       Compile reports and analysis on sales and marketing activity including social media posts, blogs, newsletters and website users/traffic.

·       Work closely with the Managing Director and Operations Manager on any office-related matters to ensure day-to-day tasks are executed as smoothly as possible.

DESIGN WORK

·       Design the assets for marketing materials including newsletters, website banners, social media posts/reels, PPC ads and print leaflets, following the Bob Books’ brand design guidelines.

·       Work with the Operations Manager to ensure the visuals for relevant website content is updated including Help and FAQ pages, blogs and videos.

·       Assist the Managing Director and Operations Manager with development projects including the testing of new photo book software and app releases.

·       Create sample photo books using our software to understand and highlight key functionality to Bob Books’ customers and provide updated books for marketing purposes.

DESIRED SKILLS

·       Strong admin and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multi-task.

·       Graphic design skills including InDesign, Photoshop and Canva. Additional training provided if required.

·       Excellent attention to detail.

·       Confident written and verbal communicator.

·       Knowledge and interest in digital marketing including social media.

·       Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

·       Willingness to learn new skills.

·       Happy to work in a small team and pitch in when needed.

·       Familiarity and appreciation of photo books a plus.

Benefits:

Holidays: 22 days annual leave with extra days off over the Christmas period, plus Bank Holidays and a day off for your birthday.

Free photo products: up to £250 per annum.
