We’re seeking a Credit Analyst I to support accurate, thoughtful credit analysis across our lending portfolio. This role plays a key part in protecting the Bank’s credit quality by ensuring financial analysis, underwriting, and portfolio monitoring are executed with care, consistency, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Spread consumer and commercial financial statements to assess borrower financial position

• Assist with underwriting new and renewing credits, including loan presentations and annual reviews

• Support portfolio monitoring activities such as covenant testing, borrowing bases, and financial tracking

• Maintain organized and accurate credit files and documentation

• Meet with lenders to gain understanding of new and existing loan relationships

• Assist with internal and external audits and regulatory exams, including FDIC Safety & Soundness

• Complete reports, analyses, and special projects as directed by management

• Adhere strictly to established credit processes, policies, and documentation standards

 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year institution

• Strong ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial statements and complex documents

• Ability to work under deadlines while maintaining accuracy and consistency

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred • Business degree in Accounting or Finance

• 1+ year of experience in bank lending, loan review, credit analysis, or compliance

• Basic knowledge of financial spreading, loan underwriting, loan grading, and portfolio monitoring

 

Risk Management Requirements

• Complies with all applicable regulatory requirements, including BSA, AML, and USA PATRIOT Act policies

• Acts within authorized limits and delegated authorities

Summary

Position Purpose:

·         This position is responsible for managing the accuracy of the Bank’s credit analysis.

·         Responsibilities include spreading, underwriting, annual reviews, portfolio management, and analysis of credit relationships.

·         Daily duties include spreading consumer & commercial cash flows, updating annual reviews, and completing projects as directed by management.


Primary Responsibilities:

·         Spread financials to understand Borrower financial position.

·         Meet With Lenders to understand new & existing loan relationships more clearly.

·         Maintain credit files in an organized and efficient manner.

·         Assist with portfolio monitoring including, but not limited to, financial tracking, covenant testing, borrowing bases, etc.

·         Underwrite & maintain annual review tracking.

·         Assist with new and renewing credits via loan presentations, etc.

·         Assist Management Team with internal and external audits, as well as FDIC Safety & Soundness Exam.

·         Complete additional reports, assignments, projects, as directed by management.


Authority, Impact, Risk:

·         Regulatory examinations and resulting ratings.

·         Mitigate credit risk with accuracy in analysis and reporting.

·         Fair Lending and its applicability to consumer & commercial lending.


Key Relationships:

·         Interaction with EMD-GB&W, MD-CB, D-CB&CR, CRO, CCO, Commercial Loan Officers, Consumer Loan Officers, Loan Processors

Job Specifications:

Position adheres to confidentiality policy, code of ethics and knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act and best practices and other pertinent Regulatory laws and regulations.

 

Required:

·         Bachelor’s degree (BA) from a four-year institution

·         Must have knowledge/ability to use all MS Office Suite products.

 

Preferred:

·         Business Degree in Accounting or Finance

·         Minimum 1 year in bank lending, loan review and/or compliance experience

·         Basic Knowledge in spreading financials, loan underwriting, as well as loan grading & monitoring.

Understands and adheres to Workplace Policies, Code of Conduct, privacy, and information security guidelines. Understands and adheres to Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, and Compliance with the USA PATRIOT Act policies and procedures applicable to position, completing any supporting requirements within defined timeframes. Acts within authorized limits and delegated authorities and role applicable policies and procedures. Follows processes and controls to protect shareholder interests. Mitigates risk to the bank and customers by following all applicable security procedures.
