JOB SUMMARY: 

The Manager of Game Software Developers leads a team of engineers responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality game software. This role combines technical expertise with people leadership, ensuring projects are delivered on time, meet performance standards, and align with business goals. The Manager fosters a collaborative, innovative environment and supports the growth and development of team members.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of game software developers, providing regular feedback and performance evaluations
  • Oversee the design, development, testing, and deployment of game software and features
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, QA, and other stakeholders to deliver engaging player experiences
  • Establish development standards, best practices, and coding guidelines
  • Manage technical project timelines, resources, and priorities to ensure on-time delivery
  • Support troubleshooting and resolution of complex technical issues
  • Drive continuous improvement in development processes, tools, and workflows
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and quality expectations

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of software development experience, preferably in gaming or interactive systems
  • 2+ years of leadership or management experience
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as C++, C#, Java, or similar
  • Experience with game engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine) preferred
  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
