About the role

About the Role: We are seeking a proactive Senior Workplace Experience Specialist to join our team on a contract basis, based in our Mountain View office. This role will be key in the daily operations of our office environment, organizing internal events, while supporting US employees remotely. You will work closely with employees and the Executive Assistants (EAs) to ensure a productive and engaging workplace experience. This is a 6 month contract role paying $45-50 per hour with the expectation of working approximately 20-25 hours per week. There is the possibility of extension of contract at the end of the 6 months. Key Responsibilities: Office Management: Ordering groceries, managing supplies, and maintaining a clean and organized workplace. Assess and improve processes, such as optimizing office layout and working with IT to enhance AV setup, ensuring it’s functioning for virtual meetings. Event Management: Partnering with the EA to organize events that create engagement across teams. For example, happy hours, volunteering activities, Winter party, Thanksgiving dinner, and Thursday lunches. US Employees Support: Handle remote tasks for all US employees, such as onboarding communication to newcomers, laptop shipments, and ordering work-from-home equipment. Employee & Exec Engagement: Listen to the executive team's feedback on office operations and implement their suggestions. Monitor the cleanliness and functionality of common areas, ensuring they meet the team's expectations. Required Capabilities: 2-5 years Office and Event Management Experience: Experience managing office environments and organizing events that engage and support teams. Eagerness to Learn: Demonstrates a willingness to learn, adapt, and thrive in a dynamic environment while quickly gaining independence in the role. Strong Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with individuals at all levels, including executives and employees. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to proactively identify issues and implement solutions that enhance the workplace experience. Organizational Skills: Organizational abilities to juggle multiple tasks, events, and deadlines simultaneously. Customer Service Focus: A customer-oriented mindset, with a focus on meeting the needs and expectations of employees and executives.
