About the role

Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain scalable, fault-tolerant, and high-performance data pipelines to ingest, transform, and store a variety of structured and unstructured data - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions - Participate in architectural discussions and design reviews to drive the evolution of our data platforms - Mentor and guide more junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement - Contribute to the development of reusable frameworks, libraries, and tools to enhance the productivity and efficiency of the engineering team Requirements: - 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on data engineering and data pipelines - Proficient in designing and implementing scalable, fault-tolerant, and high-performance data pipelines using technologies like Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, Amazon Kinesis, and Amazon S3 - Expertise in data transformation, data quality, and data orchestration using tools like Apache Airflow, Luigi, or Prefect - Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including query optimization and performance tuning - Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and services, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment - Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
