About the role We're offering an AI Engineer Internship for someone who's excited about turning cutting-edge AI into real, usable features for learners and educators. You'll be part of a small, fast-moving team experimenting with how agentic AI can improve content discovery, automate support, personalize learning journeys, and more. This internship is perfect for someone who has been playing with models, prompts, or tools — and now wants to apply those skills in a real-world product. This is an onsite or hybrid internship — you'll work alongside product and engineering team members and get hands-on mentorship. Who we're looking for You don't need to be an AI expert. We're looking for someone who: Has a strong grasp of Python and knows how to work with APIs Has tinkered with LLMs (like GPT, Claude, or open-source models) — even just personal experiments or hacks Is curious about prompt design, embeddings, vector stores, or fine-tuning Thinks in terms of real-world use cases, not just academic theory Can work independently, but loves pairing up to solve tricky logic or test new ideas Documents their approach and is comfortable learning in public If you've built a side project using LangChain, experimented with Pinecone, or deployed a chatbot using GPT — we'd love to see it. What you'll be doing Help prototype and test AI features within the Blend-ed platform Design, test, and refine prompts, chains, and flows for specific user goals Connect with vector databases and other tools for retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) Explore personalization and adaptive learning powered by AI Collaborate with designers and developers to ensure AI features are useful, safe, and aligned with real user needs Stay on top of the latest AI tools and trends — and help us separate hype from value Contribute to internal documentation, experimentation logs, and idea boards
